Burleson LLP, an energy law firm, welcomed the addition of Attorney James “Jim” Strawn in its roster. Strawn, who has made a name in his more than thirty years of experience as an oil and gas attorney, will be the Of Counsel in the Pittsburgh location of the energy law firm.
Although based in Pennsylvania, the legal practice of Strawn is more on the national level and is centered on all areas related to the exploration, as well as production, of oil and gas in the United States. His practice included acquisitions, mergers, marketing and midstream services, divestitures, access and leasing, joint operations, royalty and division of interest issues, master service agreements, and drilling.

Strawn is truly experienced in the distinct legal requirements which impact companies that have interests in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays. He had spent more than ten years advising Pennzoil with regards to its exploration and production activities in New York, West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
