Alvarez & Marsal Names Ernest Brod to Head Firm’s Business Intelligence Services

The global professional services firm of Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) in an announcement welcomed Ernest Brod as one of the newest members of the firm to head its Business Intelligence Services. This division aims to expand the world-class forensics and dispute services of A&M and will augment considerably its capabilities in handling difficult corporate investigations. Aside from Brod, the firm also hired Edward Frost to the Business Intelligence Services group senior director. Both of them are based in New York.

Mr. Brod, who is joining the firm as a managing director, is a pioneer of the business intelligence industry. He formerly worked with Kroll as its investigation and intelligence business leader. Brod has over 25 years of experience in the field and has been credited with pioneering work in applying a range of investigative methods on behalf of companies involved in internal investigations, global asset searches, litigation, as well as corporate contests and transactions.

A pioneer of the business intelligence industry, Mr. Brod, who joins as a managing director, was formerly a leader of Kroll’s investigation and intelligence business. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field and is credited with groundbreaking work in applying a variety of investigative tools on behalf of companies engaged in litigation, internal investigations, global asset searches, and in corporate contests and transactions.

In the announcement, Bryan Ruez, the managing director and global-co-leader of the firm’s forensics and dispute services practice, said, “A&M is well positioned to become a market leader in the corporate investigations business. Our business intelligence group, under the leadership of Ernie, a pioneer and industry luminary, we will continue to expand our team of world-class talent, which includes Ed Frost, to deliver unmatched services to clients around the world.”
