Kerry, it got you to leave a comment :-)

Also, the person who wrote this isn't an English major- just a normal person who can make a mistake now and again.

hmm.. I knew that coca-cola was on the first place, also the new pepsi logo is awful, I mean is extremely horrible. I believe that now Apple is the coolest brand.

You are indeed correct, some of these logo's should maybe find a place on another list, although, every one of the brands they belong to has made them almost instantly recognizable. I do agree with you on some level though, especially about Burger King.

Hi,

Thank you so much for this list. I'd really have to disagree with some of the ones you've included here. Just because they're world wide names doesn't mean they should be considered greatest of all time. Corporate identity design should always be timeless, as with any logo for any business size or field, but corporations have a greater vested interest in designing logos that meet their strategic goals and communication purposes. These are the ones I would exclude:

Burger King (clip art??)
M&M's
UPS (barely makes this list)
Rolex (seems outdated, for a luxury company, I simply don't see it here. Using a crown seems to be pushing the luxury symbol upon us, it simply doesn't work. I've seen pure logotype based corporate logo identities that convey luxury in a more timeless, classy fashion than Rolex)
Rolls Royce(same as above)
Jagermeister (are you kidding??)

The title should be "46 Greatest Corporate Brands of All Time (And their Logo's)"
I would recommend this site for great logo design : http://thedesigninspiration.com/category/logos/

BMW: The national colors of (my home) Bavaria are not white, blue and black, they're just white and blue. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Bavaria Black is the political color of the CSU, Bavaria's governing party. (In Germany, parties are distinguished by colors, just like in the US they use animals)

Also, they say the BMW logo evolved from the pilot's view upon his white propeller against the blue sky. Here's that logo's history, unfortunately only in the German Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW#Das_BMW-Logo
