History

Founded in1855, the H & WB Drew Company provided engraved stationery and office supplies to professionals throughout the country.  In 1982, in Jacksonville, Florida, Wells Legal Supply, Inc. was started by Johnnie O. Wells and Randy Houser to serve the legal community with stationery and legal supplies.  Both H & WB Drew Company and Wells Legal Supply, Inc. had their own unique talents, but they were still competitors in the same market.

The Formation
In 1997 Wells Legal Supply, Inc. acquired H& WB Drew Company to form The Wells & Drew Companies.  They combined their talents and many years of experience to form a company that could better serve the legal community, as well as corporations and other professionals.

How To Better Serve Our Clients Statewide?

This is the question that Randy Houser (company president) asked himself.  Since The Wells & Drew Companies' main office and manufacturing plant is based in Jacksonville, Florida he felt we needed to be closer to our clients in south Florida.  So after years of looking, in 2005 we acquired Narup Engraving, which is a well-known and established engraving company in Miami.

This has enabled us to work closer with our clients in south Florida strengthening relationships, as well as forming new ones in the professional business community.
